According to a CDC county-by-county study of obesity, areas of the Southeast and Appalachia - including Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia - have the highest rates in the country for obesity and type 2 diabetes. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists issued new guidelines for cervical cancer screenings, advising women to delay their first Pap test until age 21. Previously, the group suggested that women be tested within three years of their first sexual intercourse.
